Berlin

Berlin is a very nice girl who likes to explore, but also really likes to cuddle.
She is the black puppy with the least amount of white and she has a medium coat.
Berlin is a friendly, sweet little girl.

Rio

Rio is a goofy boy who loves to play with toys and anything else that he can get a hold of! He is a spunky puppy who loves to make people laugh  :)

Kiev

Kiev is a talker! She likes to use her voice to let you know what she wants :)
She is a very loving girl who likes to be with her siblings and doesn't venture out as much as some of the others. She likes to feel safe and warm.

London

London is the fluffiest of all of the puppies! She is a total sweetheart
who has an independent streak and likes to go and explore in new surroundings. She also likes to cuddle :)

Boston

Boston is a handsome boy who knows how good looking he is! He is a
laid back boy who now likes to be snuggled, but it took him a few days to learn
that being cuddled is a good thing :)

Paris is the smallest black puppy. She is very cuddly and loves to climb on my lap and hang out. She is an outgoing, friendly girl.

Vienna

Vienna is a tiny little spitfire! She is the smallest puppy, but she makes up for it with a big personality. She is one of the first ones on my lap and the one still playing when everyone else is fast asleep!
I love this little girl :)

Brooklyn

Brooklyn is a bit independent and when she doesn't
get what she wants... she definitely lets you know it!
She can "woo woo woo" like the best of them. Adorable.

4 weeks old

3 weeks old

The babies are 3 weeks old now, and this is them waking up from a nap!

Gotta love a puppy pile!

This is the puppies on their first day... 

And this is 3 weeks later!!

Their pile has tripled in size and their eyes and ears are now open to the world around them! 

They bark and growl and play with each other and with their toys. It is amazing to see how they develop so quickly. :)

Puppies are walking!

The pups are now 19 days old and are moving around like crazy. They actually lift themselves up with their shaky little legs and walk! They still fall quite often, but are starting to figure things out. They play with toys and with each other, and are barking and growling. It is SO cute!!  
Paris is definitely the most coordinated one and moves around better than everyone else right now! She goes fast!

Puppies have arrived!!!

Mona had 8 babies late last night/early this morning. First baby was born at 11:39pm on Feb. 15/12 and the last baby was born at 6:58am on Feb. 16/12. In order of appearance:

11:39pm - Brooklyn - brown/grey sable female
12:04am - Vienna - red and white female
2:46am - Paris - black w/ white toes and white patches on chin and chest, female
3:21am - Rio - black tri male
3:50am - Berlin - black w/ white toes, female
4:26am - London - black w/ white toes and white line on chest, female
6:03am - Boston - brown sable male
6:58am - Kiev - brown sable female

All puppies are healthy and eating well, and Mona is a wonderful mom and is looking after all of her babies very well!

come on puppies!!!

Since we are not sure of when Mona's babies were conceived, we are not sure when Mona is going to have them. We have been told that one of the most obvious precursors is her temperature. An average dog should be around 102, but when a pregnant mom drops to about 98, we should supposedly be seeing puppies within 24 hrs. Well everyone, after almost 2 weeks of going back and forth from 100 to 99, then back up, then down... etc. This afternoon Mona's temperature was a nice low 98.4!!!  So, everyone keep your fingers crossed that it stays down there and we have puppies soon!!

Momma Mona

This is Mona. She was found running along the side of the highway. She is a young girl with a loving and sweet personality. Mona is also very pregnant!! She has about 8 babies in her and should be ready to pop any day now :)   The poor girl also had a bullet shatter one of her knees and she can't use that leg now. Once she has her puppies and they are weaned, she will be getting her bad leg removed.

It is getting harder and harder for her to get around with a giant belly and 3 legs! So we are all crossing our fingers that those babies decide to come sooner rather than later.
